It’s been a big week for the Omnibus!
Here is a link to the European Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) discussion. As you can see, there are many different positions being expressed, but also, there is willingness to discuss, and listen, and land.
The Antici Group gathering is happening today (made up of diplomats in Brussels who help ambassadors in Coreper II prepare compromises on EU legislation; Coreper II brings together permanent representatives of all EU member states).
Last week, Poland, holding the current presidency of the Council, shared its draft proposition for the Council's position on the Omnibus with Member States. Did you see it? Check it out here.
See in particular paragraph 21, where they define plausible information 🕵️♀️ — (Companies would be expected to look beyond their direct business relationships where they have plausible information that suggests an adverse impacts at the level of an indirect business partner).
So now is the time to roll up our sleeves and provide input.

As I often say to people who complain about politics but don’t vote: we can’t complain about the outcome if we didn’t help shape it. Following is easy, but shaping is better 💪
