‘Bouquet of remedies’

This is very embarrassing. We found out yesterday that 200 of you - yes, 200! - had signed up to our listserv, some of you weeks ago, and had not been receiving it! 🫣

I had never heard of ‘Zapier’ but I found out it’s important because it takes the data from our website and sends it to our listserv database. However, in this instance, Zapier appeared to take on a life of its own and randomly send over some email addresses, and not others. The result? While we have been merrily telling everyone how amazing our listserv is, a number of you have been sat there thinking: “Is this a once-a-year type listserv we’re talking about?” 🤔

We are very sorry! You may have noticed that we are getting some social media support (emojis are the new text, I’m told) and that our Human Level Linkedin page is buzzing with content - and it’s through this process that we picked up this glitch.

To make up for it, we have put together a little ‘bouquet of remedies’ for you:

  • You can find all our past updates here and all my past commentary from the listservs here
  • We have put together four updates instead of three
  • You can find our video on the IPCC’s hugely significant synthesis report released on Monday on our Linkedin page here  🌎
  • You’re the first to know that we’re launching our new Be Human Rights Confident for Lawyers series next week - will be in your inbox next Friday
  • And last but not least, I highly recommend the latest episodes of Outrage + Optimism on momentum vs perfection - hugely compelling in light of where the field is right now. Thanks as always to Tom Rivett-Carnac and Fiona McRaith and all the wonderful guests they brought in to the show. It was exactly what I needed to hear this month. 🌟
